Slime Care

New to slime? Here’s how to play safely:

  1. Always play with adult supervision.
  2. Wash and dry your hands before and after play. Do not use hand sanitizer—it makes slime sticky.
  3. Use on clean, flat, non-porous surfaces (countertop, glass, or tray). Avoid wood or fabric.
  4. Play in short sessions and fold slowly to prevent sticking.
  5. Keep slime in its jar with the lid closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
  6. If you drop slime on clothing or carpet, pick it off ASAP and apply vinegar as needed and scrub gently to breakdown the slime.

Sticky slime?

Your purchase includes a Boron-Free Refresher Spray to hydrate and smooth minor stickiness. Give the slime one light mist, fold and stretch 20 seconds, and repeat only if needed.

Need a stronger fix? (Adult option at home)

An adult may use their own contact lens solution or borax activator (1 tsp of borax and 1 cup of warm water) at home. We do not sell or supply these due to Canadian toy regulations.

Stiff slime?

All slimes soften naturally with time. To speed it up, add 1–2 drops of warm water or a drop of glycerin, then knead until you reach your perfect texture. Hand lotion also softens opaque slime, however do not use with clear or transparent slime as it will cloud the colour.
